Edwards And Ward are currently recruiting a Catering Assistant for a Primary school in Orpington.

16.25 hours per week.

Monday to Friday
term time only
Previous catering experience preferred.

The main areas of the role are:

To comply with Edwards and Ward policies of quality and standards of catering at the unit.
Prepare food and set up counters to the standard laid down by the management.
Serve all food and beverages at the specified times and in appropriate quantities.
Ensure sound knowledge of the food to be served daily, together with the appropriate portion sizes.
Ensure that all customers receive prompt, courteous service at all times.
Be sensitive to client and customer reaction and initiate prompt corrective action to overcome real or possible dissatisfaction.
To comply with the daily cleaning schedule.
To assist with all aspects of food preparation.
Maintain Health & Safety and Hygiene standards following the current legislation and company and site policy and procedures.
Adhere to Edwards and Ward policy in dealing with Customers Comments or Complaints ensure that your Manager is made aware.
Ensure that personal appearance and personal hygiene & basic food hygiene, including uniform and footwear are of the highest possible standard at all times, in line with Edwards and Ward Company Policy.
To participate in all arranged Company Training to improve personal development both in the job and within the Company.
To provide other duties that may be reasonably required by the Company.
To adhere to Client and Company policy and guidelines with regard child safeguarding.
