This is a full time post, comprising administrative co-ordination of training, and assisting the training manager with financial management duties.

The post holder will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of training delivery and will work with the wider training and development team ensuring that each programme is delivered effectively and efficiently, so the team can continue to deliver well organised, high-quality training for specific evidence-based treatments.

They will support the training manager, and team focusing on co-ordinating registration, arranging programmes of course delivery, support with meetings, compilation of reports, and keeping detailed records of data, including financial systems.

The post holder will be a key point of contact for the organisations training to ensure effective communication with training teams on all training matters; undertaking duties across the spectrum and will need to meet regularly with the training manager and training team.

The post holder will manage organisational and financial components essential to the planning of the team's training responsibilities.

This will include organisational training at all levels from enquiries to processing of payments, invoices and assisting with eProcurement requirements.

The post holder will also liaise with different departments and stakeholders at the highest level and will assist the training manager with NHS-E and HEE contracts.


MCCAED is a well-established, well resourced, Specialist Eating Disorders Service for young people aged up to 18 years and based at the Michael Rutter Centre, at the Maudsley Hospital.

The multi-disciplinary team consists of Family Therapists, Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Assistant Psychologists, paediatrics, dietetics, and admin.

The service has four arms, outpatient team, ITP, ARFID, and training team. The MCCAED training has an extensive portfolio of training delivery locally, nationally, and internationally. The Centre is responsible for developing a range of leading professional trainings in specific evidence-based treatments.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a proactive, comprehensive, and administrative service to the MCCAED training arm of the service.

Administration and Data Management


To provide administrative support to the Clinical Training manager and training team, focusing on facilitating inductions, arranging programmes of course delivery, support during and following meetings and in the compilation of reports.


To co-ordinate the provision of training programmes for the UK and international professionals and teams, tracking enquiries, and provide detailed reports, including evaluation programme reports.

To plan, manage and prioritise own workload to meet timescales and agreed deadlines in consultation with the line manager.

Acting as the first point of contact for all administrative training enquiries for MCCAED.


To be confident engaging with staff at all levels within the Trust, adjusting communication style, as appropriate, to the needs of the audience.

To have extensive IT skills including a high standard of accuracy when inputting records.

To support the wider team when the need arises, e.g. provision of cover during annual leave.

To be competent in the operation of the elements related to training, e.g. creating courses, updating training attendance and enrolling learners.

Responsible for collating information on non-attendance at training and escalating this to the relevant training manager and training Team.

To ensure data accuracy and confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Prepare regular reports on progress against training teams key performance indicators.


To be able to plan, organise, set and independently review time and workload priorities and to have the ability to exercise judgement and to work autonomously.

To be able to work to tight deadlines and the ability to manage multiple tasks within a working day. To have the ability to administer an efficient bring-forward system.

To develop and maintain an efficient electronic filing and information retrieval system.

Attend meetings and produce accurate minutes, collate and distribute reports/papers in a timely manner.

To receive internal and external visitors and arrange and offer hospitality.


To be held as an exemplar of the standards within the service by acting as a role model for other administrative staff / Coordinators.

Financial Management

Responsible for assisting the Training Manager in the preparation of training contracts; adhering to time-scales.
