The SEMH Teacher:


For this SEMH Teacher role, you must be a patient, resilient individual with a passion for breaking down barriers to education for young people with additional needs.

Behaviour is challenging, so it is important that you have experience working in a similarsetting and a good knowledge of de-escalation techniques.

You should be skilled at differentiating work to meet the individual needs and levels of ability for each pupil, and a drive for making lessons as fun and engaging as possible For this role, you mustbe a QTS SEMH Teacher.


The SEMH Teacher Role:


As an SEMH Teacher in this position, you will be planning and delivering lessons for pupils aged with SEMH needs and additional needs.

Classes are small, however behaviour is challenging, so you will need excellent classroom management skills.

You shouldbe able to build strong relationships with pupils and have an impeccable knowledge of safeguarding procedures and wellbeing support.

As an SEMH Teacher, you will work with the fabulous support team to provide high quality assistance to pupils in need of additionalsupport.


The school:


This school is a short-stay Pupil Referral Unit that provides support to pupils struggling to engage with their mainstream education on a short-term basis, with the aim of them re-integrating back into their mainstream school after a period of time.

It hasa high success rate, and the leadership team are incredibly supportive to both students and staff.
