What will you be doing?
We have an exciting opportunity for a National Planner to join our distribution and operations team in Chesterfield.

This role will be responsible for providing efficient routing and scheduling of the company vehicles for the company's national operation, ensuring correct volume loads and delivery times, within company and legislative regulations.


Responsibilities include:

  • Working with routing and scheduling tools to ensure loads are efficiently planned
  • Creating a delivery plan for multiple depots across your given region
  • Reviewing routes to ensure transport is planned in a cost effective manner
  • Ensuring planning works in conjunction with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Proactively working with the forecast demand planner to ensure high priority requirements are met

What are the hours?
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts either or On call work on one in three weekends.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with people of all levels
  • An understanding of driving regulations, operations, etc.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise
  • A "can do" attitude" and a willingness to learn
