IT Field Engineer

The Field Engineer will play a key role in the support of a variety of innovative, accreditable, cost efficient solutions which comply with HMG's security classification system.

IT Field Engineer role encompasses the following key areas;

Field Support: Manage onsite technical, project and sales team requirements in support of customer engagements and managed service delivery.
Systems Maintenance:IT Service, support and administration of managed service offerings, liaising with onsite support teams, outsourced service delivery partners and suppliers to maintain the service to or above contracted SLAs and Target KPIs.
Service Management: To act as a point of escalation on matters effecting the day to day delivery of managed services. To ensure the collation and preparation of service management customer reports as required.
System Installation:Build and install secure managed ICT Services delivering a range of technologies to meet the needs of current customers and future markets.

IT Field Engineer Skills, Qualities and Experience

Ability to establish and develop a new role as part of a small team within a rapidly evolving organisation.
Experience of Networks, VMware
Proven track record in delivering technology projects.
A good understanding of current HMG security classifications.
Initiative and proactivity, matched by an ability to be a strong member of a team.
Experience of managed service environments, with an awareness of ITIL best practice.
Experience of build, test and implementation of systems, along with operational support.
Good communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally.
Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
Have or be able to obtain the appropriate security clearance
