As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner you will be responsible for

  • The direct provision of highquality evidence based person centred physical and mental health care to patients within a community pathway within the Mental Health Directorate.
  • Providing leadership in the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care to the wider multidisciplinary team.
Facilitating learning through the development and delivery of specialist clinically focussed education and training programmes

We have a great opportunity in Shrewsbury to employ an Advanced Clinical Prescriber to work within our Shrewsbury Community mental health services.

This role will work across 2 CMH services and be a pinnacle role in relation to development of our NMP clinicians and help devise and implement a 3yr plan to increase our NMP offer with evidence on supervision and CPD development for this staff group.


The post holder will work closely with consultant psychiatrists that work in the Shropshire community teams and support with caseload management working closely with the consultant group as well as the service manager, quality and governance lead and team managers in supporting high quality evidence-based person centred physical and mental health care to patients.


Shropshire is a beautiful county with Shrewsbury (the birthplace of Charles Darwin) full of history, on the River Severn with a rich farming heritage and a thriving town.
