Specific Responsibilities:


  • To ensure deliveries are inspected and receipted onto account in a timely manner (ideally within 24 hours).
  • Work with the Stores Department to turn around rework items efficiently using most expedient solution where possible.
  • Inspect goods to the correct standard MIL105d.
  • To raise Jira Incident reports on rejected goods for suppliers.
  • Assist in the return of rejected goods back from suppliers.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board process.
  • Carry out line side inspections and other quality related activities.
  • Identify and understand Certification from suppliers.
  • To support stores activities when required.
  • To understand and comply with Company policies and procedures including, but not limited to, ISO9001 and ISO1400
  • Housekeeping and maintenance of a clean and tidy work area.
  • Ensuring Measuring and Calibration equipment is maintained and calibrated as per set maintenance intervals.

Qualifications:


  • Relevant qualification in a quality engineering discipline or relevant experience.

Experience/Knowledge:


  • To understand and read engineering drawings.
  • Confidence in speaking direct to customers internal & external/suppliers.
  • To produce reports from SAP when required.
  • Use of quality inspection equipment.
  • PC skills word, excel and use of SAP one business systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 procedures.

Other:


  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance to minimum SC ('Secret') level.
