Employee Relations Advisor
, GroupM EMEA

Role Overview:


The Employee Relations Team is responsible for providing guidance on and directly handling employee relations matters to ensure our people are treated fairly and respectfully across the organization.

This team of experts will advise and support employees, managers, and People Partners (HRBPs) on a broad range of escalated employment issues including HR policy interpretation, performance management, complaint investigation, employee discipline and misconduct, accommodations, terminations, reorganizations, and remediation of employment-related disputes.


Your Impact:


This role is working within a centralized Employee Relations function across EMEA and supporting the ER Lead and Executive People Director for GroupM EMEA to deliver against our EMEA People Strategy, reporting directly to the ER Lead.


  • Support with creating a central database of corporate policies, practices and regulation for across the region i.e., people intranet and SharePoint.
  • Ensure there is a fair and consistent treatment / approach to investigations.
  • Consider all facts to satisfactorily resolve matters for employees while mitigating broader risks to the organization.
  • Navigate the organizational implications of investigations with key stakeholders through a balance of directness, objectivity, and compassion.
  • Will partner with the internal WPP and GroupM legal departments, as necessary.
  • Maintain required documentation, including investigative notes, supporting documents, final reports and ensuring the employee relations tracker is kept up to date weekly.
  • Support ER Lead to deliver trainings for employees, managers, and the HR team that ensure compliance with relevant legislative changes and guidance on ER best practices.
  • Support ER Lead to identify strategies to enhance the employee relations capabilities of our managers.
  • Support ER Lead with reporting and analysing case trends utilizing a case management system.

Your Qualifications:


  • Experience in disciplinary and grievances leading and conducting investigations.
  • Experience identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues in a human, unbiased, and legally compliant manner.
  • The ability to provide guidance and coaching to managers and People Leaders to address employee behaviour and performance concerns.
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner and appropriately escalate issues.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and persuasion skills.
  • Have a collaborative approach when working with peers, senior leaders and across organizational lines.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent judgment, active listening, and critical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable working with data to analyse key metrics to uncover trends and root causes and maintaining central databases and dashboards.
