MUST BE BASED IN N.IRELAND Must be eligible for JOBSTART Scheme**We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Engineer / metal work. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with limited experience to gain hands-on training and practical knowledge in mechanical engineering within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist senior engineers in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components.
- Participate in the creation and modification of engineering designs using CAD software.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of experiments and tests to evaluate the performance of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Support the documentation and reporting of project progress and findings.
- Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work closely with other engineers in a very hands-on workshop environment where you will actively participate in building, producing, and refurbishing a wide range of industrial products.
- Working with metal, both welding and fabricating for the production of products.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field, preferred
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) preferred.
- Qualifications and / or experience in Welding preferred
- Qualification and / or experience in metal fabrication preferred
- Experience gained in an industrial / workshop environment preferred
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic industry.
- English language

£10.50-£20.00 per hour
