Oxford Economics is a leading global provider of economic forecasts, research, and consulting solutions. We are looking to hire a Senior Editor for our Global Macro Services team.

The role involves editing macroeconomic research reports to impeccable standards for clarity, accuracy, and impact.

This research primarily consists of in-depth analyses and economic forecasts for countries and jurisdicitions around the world, and occasional thematic and topical reports on global economic issues.


Requirements to succeed are the ability to elucidate key messages and to present complex technical analysis in accessible language for a diverse client base.

While the role is focused on producing top-quality written research, an understanding of data visualisation and digital content would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Edit research produced by Oxford Economics' Global Macro Services team, including thematic research briefings, country economic forecasts, and ad hoc content as required.
  • Ensure research is produced to the highest standards i.e. accessible, actionoriented reports for a diverse, global client base.
  • Meet timeliness targets for publishing.
  • Work closely with economists around the world, and build positive working relationships at all levels.
  • Help economists to develop their writing skills through group training and individual coaching.
  • Support the development of digital content across our subscription platform.

Requirements:


  • Proven experience as a journalist or editor (three years minimum)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • An understanding of macroeconomic analysis
  • Experience in producing graphics and visual storytelling preferred.
  • Fluent in MS Office
