Torchlight Recruitment Solutions are supporting a leading provider of environmental and health safety services, committed to ensuring the well-being of their clients and the communities they serve.

Our client specialises in Legionella risk assessment and management, offering comprehensive solutions to help organizations maintain a safe and healthy environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct Legionella risk assessments in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform onsite inspections of water systems, including cooling towers, hot and coldwater systems, and other waterrelated installations.
  • Collect and analyze water samples for Legionella bacteria and other waterborne pathogens.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing assessment findings, risk levels, and recommended control measures.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement customized Legionella risk management plans.
  • Provide expert advice on Legionella control and prevention strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to Legionella management.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients and internal staff on Legionella awareness and control measures.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to environmental health and safety services.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor, preferably in a consultancy or environmental services setting.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as the City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Legionella Control for Risk Assessors or equivalent.
  • Indepth knowledge of Legionella bacteria, water systems, and associated control measures.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel within the South Yorkshire region.
