Description
We are looking for Senior Quality Management professionals to direct a range of strategic quality management activities.

Working alongside senior Quality Management professionals from across MOD and Industry, you will oversee the delivery and developmentof Quality Management (QM) through Governance, Assurance and Improvement (GAI) within a specific DE&S/SDA business area.


  • You will need experience of working in a complex and heavily regulated organisation and be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and deliver strategic direction, build process and govern compliance.
  • You will be happy to lead on the review, selection and prioritisation of areas for improvement, ensuring the right processes and techniques are put in place to deliver positive outcomes and results.
  • You will be comfortable and competent operating at senior leadership levels.
  • You will lead day to day quality management activities, ensuring compliance with an established Business Management System, making sure that appropriate assurance is in place and ensuring the way we work is compliant and within regulation. Strong customerand stakeholder management skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret the needs of the wider business. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring processes, documentation and training is appropriate, sufficient and that it meets the requiredstandards.

**About the role

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Manage the maintenance of the business processes working with the document Sponsors.

  • Manage support to ensure appropriate management reviews are held and any appropriate information is produced, then represent QM at meetings.
  • Manage timely stakeholder and customer engagement by arranging meetings and events.
  • Collate, present and analyse data to present to Senior Management to enable informed decisions.
  • Support the improvement to Quality awareness, measuring its effectiveness.
  • Support the delivery of Improvement Projects, taking ownership where appropriate.
  • Provides shadowing and mentoring opportunities to share knowledge within Domain/OC.
**Person specification

  • Experienced in a management or supervisory level and in delivering and managing 'Quality Systems' within a large organisation.
  • This experience includes identification and implementation of improvement initiatives.
It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following desirable criteria:

  • Qualification to Degree level or equivalent.
  • Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) Chartered Member held or achieve within 2 years.
  • Demonstrable experience in designing & implementing improvement frameworks
