You will join a team within DWP working on the largest government installation of ServiceNow within Europe. You will be responsible for developing stories, providing technical input and assistance to colleagues within your feature team.
Our product delivery unit is driven by the desire to enable our colleague's interactions with the digital environment to be as seamless and painless as possible, minimising the friction in the primary purpose of the department, supporting 20 million people every day to help them to find work and save for their future.
The platform currently supports circa 120,000 colleagues across the ITSM, ITOM, SPM, NLU, Security and HR On-boarding modules exposing us regularly to a wide range of different challenges and opportunities within the ServiceNow ecosphere.
Job description:
The ServiceNow System Administrator will deal with the day to day management and administration of all DWP ServiceNow instances together with our Amazon Web Voice capability and supporting infrastructure.
As a ServiceNow System Administrator your responsibilities will include:
- Deal with and take decisions on day-to-day support of services/solutions relating to own work area and to those they manage. Provide technical support and assistance to delivery teams.
- 3rd line support for incidents, problems and changes. Ensures that the right actions are taken to investigate, resolve and anticipate problems.
- Administration and support of infrastructure solutions.
- Has a working understanding of the technical concepts required in their role and understands how these fit into the wider technical landscape. Understands the limitations of digital technology.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home.

Salary Information
Salary for this role is from £34,173 (Band min) to £34,971 (Band max).
Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.
Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater.
