Support Manager - Homeless Shelter
We are looking for a Support Manager who will have direct responsibility for a support team of employed and volunteer staff that is making a huge difference in homeless people's lives.

About the role:
The Support Manager will be responsible for the day to day oversight of the provision, providing a caring and supportive environment for guests, and the management of a small support team and volunteers.
The charity is at a critical stage in its growth andthe Support Manager will assist the General Manager and the Board in the planning for, and implementation of, the next stage of the charity's development.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the day to day activities of the provision to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the organisation in line with the charity's ethos and policies.
- Undertake and manage guest assessments, inductions and movingon processes
- Ensure guests are supported in line with current housing legislation, welfare and benefits legislation and any other relevant information

About the organisation:
The organisation is a small Milton Keynes based charity which provides a temporary home and extensive person-centric support to single people experiencing homelessness, with the aim of providing a sustainable, long-term solution.
Originally based on a double-decker bus (hence the name), the charity now has a unique nine bedroom facility in Stantonbury, Milton Keynes and three "move-on" houses elsewhere in the city, providing a further twelve rooms.
You may also have experience in areas such as Support Manager, Homeless Recovery Worker, Peer Support, Resettlement Worker, Homelessness, Homeless Project Manager, Homeless Caseworker, Project Coordinator Homelessness, Resettlement Caseworker, Housing Support,Community Support Manager, Community Supporter, Worker, Care Worker etc.
