We are a leading same day courier and event transport service provider and now we are expanding, we are looking for the right individuals to be the face of our company as members of our driving team.

What you'll do:

• First and foremost, represent the company in the best way possible. We are nothing if not excellent customer service providers, and it will be down to you to leave each and every one of our clients with a great impression during every job. We always go above and beyond for our clients.
• Carry out deliveries and collections nationwide in a legally compliant, careful and safe manner ensuring all Traffic laws and limits are adhered to.
• Handball loading and unloading of vehicles when required, paying close attention to detail to ensure jobs are collected and delivered accurately and in good condition.
• Pay extra attention to load security and protection of consignments we specialise in transportation on fragile goods and guarantee each and every item will reach its destination in perfect condition.
• Maintain excellent records and administration standards, ensuring POD's are completed accurately and are uploaded / handed in via the correct channels in time.
• Communicate effectively, both with the Transport office and our client's, ensuring both parties are aware of any delays or issues en route or on site.
• Assist with Installation and Derig of relevant items where required.
• Help us to keep our fleet roadworthy and in a presentable condition, completing daily walkaround checks and reporting any vehicle defects to the Transport office.

What you will bring:

• A full UK driving license held for a minimum of 5 years with minimum category B entitlement and no more than 3 penalty points your license will be checked at interview and again quarterly upon commencement of employment
• Over 28 for insurance purposes
• Excellent Customer service skills
• Effective Communication skills
• Good problem solving skills
• A positive and helpful attitude
• Physically fit ( lifting and carrying )
• Some practical skills such as the ability to confidently use handheld tools is desirable

Job Type:
Full time

The contracted hours for this role are 50 hours per week 5 days over 7.

We operate 24/7 and there is no such thing as a "normal" day.

Standard operation is Mon-Fri, but due to the nature of the industries that we serve, early starts, late finishes and weekend work may be required.

Hours of work will vary greatly depending on business needs.

A minimum of two overnight hotel stays per week paid for by the company may be required, and an overnight allowance of £15.00 per night will be paid to the driver when required to stay away from home.

Salary:
£27,000.00-£32,500.00 per year
