Production Operative - 6-month FTC

Salary: £30,000
Potential to go permanent.
Monday to Friday

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Production Operative to join our small, multifaceted team. This role requires an individual who is not just comfortable but thrives in a heavy production/manufacturing setting.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Operating both manual and semiautomated machinery with precision and safety.
Interacting with computer systems for packaging labels and machine operation.
Conducting forklift and frontend loader operations.
Performing setup and maintenance tasks for production equipment.
Ensuring a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including work in confined spaces.
Collaborating with the team under the supervision of the Production Team Lead.
Regularly evaluating equipment performance and recommending improvements.
Contributing to waste management and operational excellence programs.

Who You Are

Proven experience in machine operation, preferably in a heavy industry environment.
Excellent physical fitness, capable of lifting 25kg and climbing up to 15m.
Keen attention to detail and an ability to identify potential equipment malfunctions.
Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and problem resolution.
Independence in managing tasks with mínimal supervision.
A cool head under pressure, maintaining focus and quality in a fastpaced setting.
Solid computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
A strong work ethic, punctuality, and pride in your work.
