WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE

• Salary: £23,100 (On Target Earnings) (OTE) £19,950 basic. Plus £3,150 performance related bonuses.

- + 3% Employer Pension Contribution.

• Hours: Mon to Fri, 8.30am 4.30pm.
• Reporting to: Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Assistant Manager / Sales & Marketing Director.

• This is a warehousebased role and cannot be performed from home.

Terma Poland is the sister company of Terma UK and is located in Gdansk in the north of Poland. Terma was established in 1990.

All manufacturing takes place at Terma Poland where between 400 and 600 people (dependant on season) are employed across both manufacturing and in the offices.

Terma UK is a satellite company of Terma Poland which was established in 2018. Terma UK is a standalone company with its own separate profit and loss (P&L). Terma UK is a rapidly growing company. At present Terma UK employs approximately 20 staff. Customers include large blue chip companies such as Screwfix, B&Q, Victoria Plum and Wayfair.

Terma UK also has lots of SME (small to medium sized enterprise) customers including radiator specialists, various showrooms and merchants.

Terma UK offers a drop ship service to its clients whereby orders from its trade customers are dispatched directly to the end user on behalf of our client.

Terma UK carries approximately £1 million worth of stock at its 15,750 square foot warehouse.

Terma UK has on site showroom and trade counter therefore can take orders face to face from customers.

Our showroom exists both for the buyers within our corporate clients to see our stock and for end users to view our stock (as Terma will sell direct to the public via our showroom only - all other orders must go through our partners).

The trade counter exists to service local tradesman who wish to visit to order any items required to fit a designer radiator


About The Role:

Terma UK is looking for a Warehouse Operative to work at its UK warehouse. The current structure of the warehouse team will be made up from a team of 7. This includes a Warehouse Manager, Assistant Warehouse Manager and 5 X Warehouse operatives.

In addition, we have a Stock Control and Systems Manager who will work along side the Warehouse Management team to ensure all stock in the system is accurate and accounted for.

This role will involve using a 1.5 tonne, electric Bendi Truck with lifting capacity 1500 kgs, side shift, front and back tilt and full power steering.

Ideally you will have a Bendi Truck licence.

However if you do not have one the company can put you on a course or if yours has expired the company can put you on a refresher course.

Terma UK has a 15,750 square foot Warehouse. The Warehouse is fully established, racked out with all pick locations set. Terma carries approx. £1m worth of stock. The Warehouse has been equipped with double layer racking specially designed to house the models of radiator we carry.

You will have your own packing bench equipped with a PC. The role will be a split between computer work and physical work in picking stock.

The role is a nice combination of both warehouse and administrative work. There are written procedures in place governing all processes. These are a very handy reference to what steps need to be taken to perform each process.

If you have good Warehouse experience along with very organisational skills this role would be perfect for you. Alongside general Warehouse duties this role requires an individual who is very methodical and can multitask. There will be a lot of computer work using spread sheets and our internal ERP system.

A rota will be in place to ensure all members of the team carry out all the tasks on different days.

Physical Order Picking

• The Warehouse operative will be responsible for picking orders and carrying out all computer work for the orders using stock from that warehouse.
• All orders received before 2pm are dispatched the same day, so this job requires someone with good time management skills who can ensure orders are picked and ready to be collected by one courier.
• The couriers will arrive between 3 and 4pm so all orders entered onto the system up to 2 o'clock need to be picked that day.
