Background
The Lambeth GP Federation has recently been awarded an APMS contract to provide medical services to all Nursing Home residents in Lambeth.
The model for the new APMS GP Practice will focus on unified registrations and care for residents in Lambeth's 10 Nursing Homes.
The
central driver for the new model is to consciously combine the DES, LES and APMS contractual and financial arrangements via a single provider, the GP Federation.
Purpose of Post
To ensure that the administration of the practice is run efficiently and with empathy, and to support other members of the core team in order that we may provide a caring and efficient service to the patients.
To provide an oversight of all administration functions associated with our new APMS contract and support the core team as and when required.
1. Administrative Duties
- To manage and coordinate all clinical/nonclinical rotas associated with contract provision. This will include making sure there is adequate clinical/nonclinical cover for each home.
- To oversee registration/deregistration of all patients who reside in the Nursing Homes.
- To manage all administrative duties associated with the Nursing Homes.
- To manage the recall of all QOF denominators and other enhanced services, ensuring that the core team/clinician has access to an updated list and all targets achieved.
- To support production of all commissioner requests/reports to ensure these are dealt with in a timely fashion and within the 20day period.
- Oversee the Open Exeter submissions to ensure that targets are met and submitted within the quarterly deadline.
- To oversee the scanning of all correspondence received by the practice.
- To manage the training/development matrix to ensure that APMS team have completed all mandatory training.
- To assist the Federation Operations Manager and deputise when they are on leave.
- To assist with any amends to EMIS Clinical System including template updates.
- To manage GP Links and Workflow
2. Patient Records
- To oversee the management of all patient registration and deductions
- To oversee and assist with the scanning or patient related documents.
- To order stationary as and when required
- To assist with the induction of all new staff members
- To ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- To help with any other tasks that may require to be completed inorder to maintain efficient operation of the practice as by the Federation Executive.
- To attend Core Team/Operations/IGC meetings when scheduled
- To contribute to team working within the Federation, offering support to and seeking support from colleagues wherever possible
- To participate in appraisals and PDP (Personal Development Plan) and team training opportunities
