Description

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join their team as a CNC Machine Operator (Semi-Skilled) at their Yeovil location.

If you have experience operating CNC machines or possess a strong mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn, this opportunity is perfect for you.

As a CNC Machine Operator you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components.

You will work closely with our skilled team to ensure efficient production and maintain the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and production requirements.
Load raw materials into the machine and monitor the machining process.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.

Requirements:

Prior experience operating CNC machines is preferred.
Basic understanding of CNC machining principles and processes.
Familiarity with reading technical drawings and specifications.
Attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with a strong focus on quality.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Hours of work - Mon - Fri 8-5 with 1 hr lunch - some flexibility on hours as long as cover 8 hrs a day

20 days holiday plus bank holidays
