An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our busy All Age Community Commissioning team, which forms part of the Community Wellbeing Directorate of the council.

The Community Commissioning team is responsible for designing and procuring a broad range of community services in Herefordshire.


This role requires someone with excellent communication and skills to work with a range of people both internal and external, to arrange, monitor and review the contracting arrangements for the provision of these services in Herefordshire.


As Senior Commissioning Officer for Community Services and Infrastructure you will have experience of working across both statutory, non-statutory and community and voluntary sector landscapes.

As well as extensive experience in the field of commissioning or contract management in the public or community sector.


You will have a strong working knowledge of current legislation, good practice and standards in relation to all age social care and/or community services.


You will be responsible for the co-ordination of key strategies and commissioning programmes along with the design, development and delivery of community services in line with the council's approach to prevention and support to individuals and communities.


Oversight, review and redesign of multiple contracted services within the All Age Commissioning portfolio is a key responsibility, with a significant combined annual value.

The ability to develop effective working relationships quickly is essential to this role.

Salary:
£39,571.00-£43,570.00 per year
