A Public Sector organisation in Warwickshire who are looking for the interim support of a
Senior Economic Development Officerto support the Council's economic development aspirations and the regeneration of the Town Centre.

**Senior Economic Development Officer


Location:
Warwickshire

Rate:
Negotiable day rate (Depending on level of experience)

Duration: - 6 Months with likely extensions

Hybrid Working Pattern: - 2 Days per week onsite
**Role Duties: - Ask as the Council's main point of contact for economic development and to provide specialist advice to potential clients and existing businesses

  • Promote the Borough in order to attract employment and investment
  • Engage with and maintain strong relationships with external business support partners to ensure a coordinated offer of support is available to businesses
  • Respond proactively to new inward investment and business expansion project enquiries with relevant proposals for available properties, key features and benefits of locating in the Locality in order to attract or retain their investment
  • Research, record and maintain profiles of sites and properties available for investors
  • Work with organisations and businesses to constantly improve the town centre
  • Contribute content for relevant channels including for the web, social media and printed publications
  • Project manage short, medium and long term public realm improvements to the town centre
  • Oversee Council funded and external funded economic development grants within the Borough
  • Liaise closely with the private sector, voluntary and community groups and other public sector bodies in implementing the Council's Economic Strategy and generally to enhance the economic life chance for residents of the Borough
**Role Requirements: - Member of the Institute of Economic Development or eligibility to join (Desirable)

  • At least 3 years previous experience of working in Economic Development or a related field
  • Good strategic and political awareness with the ability to work positively and constructively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess a valid and appropriate driving licence and be able to attend meetings and site visits throughout the Borough in an efficient manner
