Mechanical Design Engineer - Sensors - Opto-Mechanical - FEA - Berkshire - £50K-£60K


I'm currently recruiting for a large company in the Oil and Gas industry that specialises in the development and production of high precision sensors used in various industries.

They're looking for a creative, skilled, and forward-thinking Mechanical DesignEngineer to join an innovative engineering team.

You will have the opportunity to take compelling new products from concept all the way through to production for a very impressive range of clients.


Main Duties Include:


  • Lead the mechanical development for cutting-edge optical based products
  • Responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems from initial concept through to production
  • Provide support and assistance for more junior engineers
  • Conduct FEA for static and dynamic analysis for pressure, temperature, and vibrational loads

Skills and Experience Required:


  • Create complex models and assemblies using Solidworks 3D CAD
  • Experienced in design sensors, opto-mechanical products, enclosures, or precision components
  • FEA - Ideally working on Vibration Analysis
Salary will be between £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience. The company also has a wide range of benefits including hybrid working, and professional development programmes.
