IMC Locums are looking for a Biomedical Scientist in Virology - PCR Testing


Job Description:


  • Processing PCR tests for results
  • Working in mobile laboratories on various locations
  • UK wide
  • Leading a team of Laboratory technicians and Medical Laboratory assistant
  • Excellent knowledge of Microbiology/ Virology/ Molecular techniques
  • Monday to Friday
  • Mainly early and core hours, however there may be some requirements for out of hours
Position Requirements

  • Adhere to required PPE
  • Ensure are timely and committed to hours issued for work
  • Ensure SOPs are followed
  • Ensure patient confidentiality
  • Good customer service
  • Maintain a professional attitude
  • Must be flexible to work on allocated locations
  • Experience in PCR testing
  • Proven experiences in working in a high throughput laboratory processing results for volume samples


  • Band 6/

  • Rates £27.00 £34.00 dependent on level of experience
  • ASAP Start
