CAD Product/Furniture Designer
Job description

We're looking for an Experienced CAD Designer to join our team on a permanent basis. You must be enthusiastic and able to deliver both practical and aesthetically pleasing product designs

You'll work alongside the other members of our team creating Sketchup / CAD drawings for signage, exhibition stands and plywood furniture.

You'll also be heavily involved in our new project to develope furniture and fittings for camper vans.

Experience in any of these areas would be a distinct advantage but you MUST have knowledge of furniture manufacture and design.

You'll also have the ability to produce a range of high quality, detailed working drawings for manufacturing with a keen eye on meeting deadlines.

With our intention to produce high-end products it's important that you possess a meticulous attention for detail.

Key personal attributes:

Minimum of 3 years experience within the furniture/exhibition design field.

Experienced with furniture CAD/CAM software such as:
Sketch Up

Autodesk Fusion 360

Responsibilities:

Liaise directly with customers, creating items to their requirements/specifications.
Create new products using design software.
Source new materials.
Produce 3D visualisations.
Produce all necessary information for manufacture including CNC files and technical drawings.
Produce prototypes on the shop floor.
Produce 3D cad models of bespoke items.

Also useful:

Be computer literate with a good understanding of file paths.

Work Methodically, in a safe manner in a busy workshop environment.

Familiar with using 2D Auto Cad.

Team Player.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent problem solving skills.

Quick learner.

Good timekeeping.
