Support Worker

Duties:

Provide assistance and support to individuals in need, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
Administer medications to residents according to prescribed instructions.
Manage conflicts and resolve issues that may arise among residents.
Uphold and advocate for the rights of residents, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect.
Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Drive residents to appointments or outings as needed.
Lift and transfer residents using proper techniques and equipment.
Collaborate with nurses and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling resident information.
Provide childcare services when necessary.
Perform first aid procedures and monitor vital signs of residents.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with residents.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with the physical needs of residents.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus.
Familiarity with resident rights and regulations governing support worker roles.
