Reporting to the Service Development Manager, the Service Development Officer is responsible for collating data and evidence to support the development, delivery, and improvement of a variety of services.


This role requires the gathering, collation and reporting of data, in addition to on-site observations to meet internal auditing requirements, whilst being proactive in identifying and delivering data for ad hoc tasks to support the development of processes and services across the Department.


What you'll be doing

  • Completion of desktop Internal Quality Assurance Audits using data analysis and observations to identify trends, areas of best practice and variations to identify areas of continuous improvement.
  • Completion of on site Quality Assurance Audits to observe adherence to Customer Service Framework and principles
  • To provide regular performance data and reports on a variety of KPI's to identify trends and highlight operational issues to support business improvement and learning
  • To proactively identify themes and trends and evaluate impact across the Department.
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues to enable open, honest conversations to support feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver training on ad hoc Project Work processes
  • To work in line with Great Places risk management framework
  • To stay abreast of developments in commissioning, key health forums and policy changes which may have an impact on the delivery of services/ Ensure Great Places' work is taking into account national and local agendas.

What you'll need

  • Educated to degree level and/or relevant experience
  • Previous experience in an analytical or analyst role, auditing data and providing comprehensive information.
  • Qualified to minimum level 3 in English and Maths
  • IT Qualification or evidence of welldeveloped IT and keyboard skills

  • Significant experience of producing data reports in a variety of formats
  • Ability to analyse data to identify issues and trends
  • The ability to influence by example and persuasion
  • Excellent IT skills including creating, maintaining and manipulating databases and spreadsheets
  • Proven relationship builder and influencer with stake holders
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal including listening skills
  • Ability to build professional and friendly relationships based on trust, respect, sharing, cooperation and mutual support.
  • Highly organised with an ability to plan, prioritise and manage deadlines
  • Ability to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner when working under pressure and maintain attention to detail
