The role


As a Business Development Manager (Junior) within our Managed IT Division, you will work towards developing new and existing business opportunities by understanding customers' diverse specific business needs and create bespoke solutions for each account,whilst focusing on four key areas; Cloud & Datacentre, Modern Workplace, Cyber Security and Managed Services.


  • Please note, as this is a Junior role, a development plan will be created and training w_ill be provided to elevate your skill and knowledge level as required.

Your responsibilities as a Business Development Manager (Junior) will be:

  • To identify new business opportunities and develop a new business pipeline
  • Build upon warm leads and existing business to support the development of further business
  • Take a proactive attitude towards new business development through outbound campaigns and follow up activities
  • Work closely with the Sales Director and Solution Consulting team on all pricing and tender activity
  • Ensure the CRM database is maintained effectively to reflect progress with new business and existing accounts
  • Successfully contribute towards sales events and other sales initiatives
  • Maintain product and vendor training as well as relevant accreditations to ensure you maintain a sound knowledge of the technology market place, trends and innovative and transformative technologies
  • Successfully achieve personal KPI's, goaloriented objectives and work within our best practice sales frameworks
  • Promote the products and services offered by all divisions within Commercial Group


In addition, as Commercial offers a 'one stop shop' solution to businesses, it is hugely important you promote the products and services offered by all our divisions and work across all business units to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities.


About you

  • You will have a keen interest in the IT industry and be looking to progress your career within a growing sales environment
  • Previous experience working within a sales and/or customer service environment
  • It would be beneficial if you have experience working within the IT sector and/or have an IT qualification
  • You will be a selfmotivated individual that thrives within an environment where individual and team work is required
  • You will demonstrate clear, professional and effective communication skills; both written and verbal
  • A proven track record of building longlasting professional relationships with a variety of stakeholder
  • The ability to adapt your approach to a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors
  • A positive attitude towards learning and developing both professionally and personally
  • Due to the nature of the role, a full, clean driving licence will be required for this role
