Senior Infrastructure Project Manager - Cirencester, United Kingdom - Chapman Tate Associates
Description
Due to the continued growth of my clients business and client base, my client is looking to expand their team capability by the addition of a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager based in Cirencester on a hybrid working basis.
- Familiarisation of a Managed Service environment and delivering IAAS solutions will be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the scope, and shape of the project. If required, you will work with internal and external teams to identify the key workstreams and work packages required.
- Management of the complete life cycle of the project, pushing delivery forward and removing obstacles as required.
- Develop the project plan and track accordingly.
- To develop a resource profile to support the project plan and secure the resource from a pool of internal or external specialist teams.
- Continue to work with various levels of technical ability, focusing on utilising their strengths to drive forward the completion of tasks.
- Implement an appropriate level of governance to support project delivery and quality.
- To direct a team ensuring that the plan is maintained and offering support as required to ensure success.
- Work with other suppliers, striving to get the best results and continuing to develop strong and solid relationships to ensure an ongoing successful partnership.
- Development and execution of the communication plan to all key stakeholders and interested parties.
- Ensure the required project documentation is produced, and appropriately stored and disseminated as required. Ensure new services and solutions are transitioned into support in a controlled manner.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior members of the team.
- To provide oversight and support to other key projects within the infrastructure project delivery tower.
- Support the programme manager as required to ensure the wider success of the team and company.
Desired Skills:
- A broad understanding of infrastructure and data centre solutions, such as:
- Networking
- Security
- Virtualisation (ESX / Nutanix)
- Wi-Fi
- Familiarisation with services delivered as a Managed Service framework.
- Infrastructure as a Service offerings.
- Delivery of technology within a construction sites.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Motivated and enthusiastic to get the job done, working on your own initiative to get results.
- Happy to take step up and take accountability and responsibility of the situation, even when the environment they are stepping into could appear unfamiliar and even hostile.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate a successful outcome.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize as required
- Appreciating the 'bigger' picture to ensure the allocation of tasks and resources are accurately deployed.
- A creative and strategic thinker.
- To spot potential risks and be able to respond in a measured way.
- Strong customer focus
Qualifications:
- Formal Project Management qualifications. (MOP/PRINCE2/MOR/APM/PMQ/SCRUM etc.)
- ITIL familiarisation or qualifications.
