We are looking for caring, child-centred, innovative, and resilient individuals with commitment and ability to be a positive role model and support in the lives of vulnerable young people. If you have experience working in Residential Child Care, we would love to hear from you.

You will work with young people of varying ages with different needs, creating a safe and nurturing environment for them to develop life skills, confidence and independence.

There will also need to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within the first six months of employment.

This is a legal requirement within the Care sector for individuals to be registered under the relevant category within the six-month timescale of the commencement of employment.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; be adaptable, reliable, and able to work as part of our experienced & supportive team, improving the lives of vulnerable young people.

Some of the duties you will perform:

• Supporting young people to attend and engage with education services.
• Supporting young people to participate in the community, have meaningful interactions, positive experiences and develop into confident and responsible adults.
• Being a supportive and knowledgeable source of advice for children and young people at different ages and stages of development
• Supporting with and taking part in activities
• Encouraging and supporting young people with cooking, keeping their home clean and tidy and looking after their own health and wellbeing
• Record keeping in line with GDPR requirements
• Taking part in training for the role
• Working towards continuous improvement in all areas of the role

£20,700 - £25,200 per year
