Description
MSK Administrator (Patient Care Advisor)

Could you be the first voice a patient hears?

Our Sussex MSK Partnership team are looking for brilliant administrators who can ensure good care happens for patients. We call our administrators Patient Care Advisors (PCAs for short).

Patient Care Advisors are an invaluable part of the Sussex MSK Partnership service.

The service helps people who are experiencing MSK (aka musculoskeletal, muscle and bone) conditions, stewarding patients through options for their care and providing support for those who need assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

All people across Brighton and Hove, Crawley, mid-Sussex and Horsham with a musculoskeletal condition are referred to our service.

We want to make a person's care as straightforward as possible, by providing one point of contact as close to their home as we can.

Main duties of the Job

  • Patient Care Advisors are the first point of contact for our patients. This means they handle patient data every single day and work within small teams, making sure the people we see experience seamless care.
  • Communication is a key part of this telephonebased role, working with local GP practices, hospitals, community staff and clinicians to get patients to the most appropriate services for their needs accurately and on time.
  • Our Patient Care Advisors work a split week in the physiotherapy departments in both Crawley Hospital and Horsham Hospital.
