Description
G W & E Wright is looking for a Buyer to join our established team at our office in Ashford, Kent.
You will be responsible for the procurement of all materials, using our preferred electrical suppliers.Responsibilities
- Processing day to day materials orders
- Liaising between Electricians, Supervisors and Contracts Managers
- Managing 2nd fix materials kits and calloff sequencing
- Negotiating prices with suppliers
- Making recommendation for improvements and/or cost savings
- Managing office stores and stock takes
- Monitoring incoming invoices and returns
Your experience
- Experience in buying within the electrical industry.
- Experience in electrical accessories / lighting / distribution.
Skills/Qualifications
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Character & Attitude
- Highly selfmotivated and able to work on own initiative
- Problem solver
- Able to keep a cool head under pressure
- Methodical, organised and accurate with excellent attention to detail
