We are currently supporting one of our clients in their search for a Bid/Tender writer in Chorley.

This role will be working 8-5 Monday to Thursday and 8-4 on Friday.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Tender Submissions including pre-qualification, tenders and approved supplier lists.
  • The review of Invitation to Tender documents to determine contractor activities and responsibilities.


  • Bid Preparation

  • Research, analyse and understand client requirements for fire protection and ventilation projects. Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information and insights for bid responses.
  • Develop clear and concise written content that effectively communicates the agency's value proposition and solutions.
  • Review and edit bid content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with client requirements.
  • Use market insights to enhance the agency's bid strategies and positioning.
  • To effectively manage bid project milestones to ensure a timely submission for bids.
  • Ensuring that all key information from the Invitation to Tender has been extracted and included.
  • Working with the management team to develop the business further.
  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer and Bid Project Management.
  • Strong understanding of the HVAC and/or fire protection industries, including terminologies and
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail, with excellent editing and proofing ability to ensure questions are answered properly and accurately.
  • Proven track record of successful bid writing.
  • Proven track record of working to agreed timescales.
