CNTW Specialist Children and Young People Service are looking to recruit a full time Administrative Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract to join our administration team.

The post holder will be based on reception within the Lotus Unit at Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough.


This position is:

Full time - shift work
Fixed Term
Office based - Remote working cannot be considered due to the nature of the post


The purpose of this role is to provide front-facing duties and providing the main point of contact to all who attend the unit.

This could include internal and or external agencies/staff.

A high-level of customer care skills both face-to-face and over the telephone are crucial to the success of this role as you will be representing CNTW Trust.

This front of house service can be fast paced during peak times so there is a level of concentration and pressure required for this post.


The post holder will be supported and trained by experienced administrative staff who will support them during this period of development.


The post holder will work closely with the wider administrative team to ensure day-to-day productivity is met and to ensure efficient and effective ways of working.

As this role is front-facing remote working opportunities cannot be considered.

You will work alongside experienced Administration Assistants to learn and develop into the role and the post holder should have:
Experience of providing reception duties.

Experience of call handling in a busy environment - It is critical that excellent customer service is delivered in person or over the telephone.

Good organisational skills.
Be able to prioritise a fluctuating workload.
Proven experience of working with Microsoft packages.
A working knowledge of electronic record systems.
To meet the mobility requirements for this role as outlined in the job description.


The post holder will work as part of a team of administrators and will work closely with a range of clinical staff from the service.
