The Role


Portland is an ever-changing business, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Administrator to join our dynamic International People Team of 8 to support us in achieving our business deliverables from recruitment, reward, learning and development, employee relations and succession planning.


We're seeking an exceptional People Administrator on a 12-month fixed term contract to support our People function as we deliver on these ambitious goals.

This is a great opportunity for someone to join our team in a fast-paced high-volume agency, providing high level administrative support for the whole employee lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Updating and monitoring an accurate and efficient HR database, employee records and HR administrative tasks
  • To assist the People Team with administration of employee lifecycle changes, including the preparation of associated documentation and communication of payroll updates to Payroll Team
  • Managing the HR inbox and acting as a point of contact for daytoday operational HR issues
  • Preparing documentation relating to employment matters such as promotions, job changes, references, benefits, and pay
  • Support People Team with report management, system updates and general employee queries
  • Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive, or contentious information, while complying with the principles of the General Data Protection Regulation and country specific legislation.
  • Provide administrative support to the People team project work and other initiatives.
  • Manage and coordinate the new joiners and leavers while working closely with all departments involved to maintain a streamlined process.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience working as in an administration role.
  • Good administration skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Have the ability to work well under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Be technically astute with experience of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with and communicate effectively with others in the team. HR background preferably bachelor or masters in HR is desired.
