Description

I am actively recruiting for experienced Careers Advisor and Work Placement Co-ordinator to join a SEN College in Southport. The service provides education and supports young people between the ages of 16-25 with Autism and Learning Disabilities.

Deliver effective and individualised Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance to students aged between 16-25 with SEND at all stages of their education journey.

Lead on sourcing and developing work placements for students.

Be responsible for ensuring that the correct procedures are in place for work placements, including employers H&S and work placement risk assessments.

Salary: 20,000 to 25,000 a year (depending on experience)

Location:
Southport

Hours:
Monday to Friday (Term time only) 8am - 4pm

Key Skills Required:

A full UK driving licence
A Level 6 Diploma in Careers Information and Advice (or Level 4 and prepared to work towards Level 6)
Experience in at least one area of delivery of careers advice to 1619, Higher Education, Adult Learners
Knowledge and previous experience of working with young people with SENDExperience of working with young people with a learning difficulty/ disability during transition, promoting high aspirations and securing positive outcomes
Knowledge of available career resources, websites, online information sources
Excellent communication, organisational and prioritising skills
