We are looking for a Press Officer to come and join us.

Why our role?


You'll work across a variety of stories - from fast-paced breaking news to long-form investigations across everything from banking to travel, and savings to shopping.

You will write stories that matter, bringing fresh ideas and executing them in engaging and accessible way.


You'll also be part of a team at the forefront of the MSE app, which is trialling new ways to get users the information they need to better manage their finances.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be writing news stories in a fresh and engaging way with accuracy. Championing news within MoneySavingExpert and helping us break big stories which are picked up elsewhere. Writing, and where necessary, updating guides on newsworthy topics
  • Pitching, researching and writing investigations
- pulling information for our newsletter 'The Tip' which reaches over 8 million people per week. This also includes contributing to the MSE app.

  • Writing, and where necessary, updating guides on newsworthy topics
  • Championing news within MoneySavingExpert and helping us break big stories which are picked up elsewhere
  • Contributing to the MSE app
  • Playing an active role in pushing MSE's campaigns agenda
What do we need from you?

  • Proven experience as a news reporter
  • An appetite to break big news stories
  • Good understanding of online journalism, with some experience using analytics, search optimisation and social media
. Proven experience working to tight deadlines and attention to detail being a key focus

  • Strong time management/prioritisation skills
