Description
We are looking for an ambitious finance business partner to join our UK Finance team, based in Cardiff, to provide financial and operational support to Admiral's business teams


This is a key role that provides an opportunity to understand and help drive the performance of Admiral's operational teams, developing in-depth knowledge of the business, whilst building relationships with senior management across Admiral and influencing business decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the relevant business unit's activities, cost drivers, and KPIs
  • Play a leading role in the annual, and quarterly planning processes, owning key models and preparing presentations and analysis for Senior Management
  • Provide business case support to aid management decisionmaking
  • Build strong working relationships with managers across the business
  • Deliver month end performance reporting and analysis
  • Working with financial control team to ensure accuracy of financial figures

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Qualified accountant (2 years + PQE) with strong academic background, and strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with, and influence, stakeholders effectively
  • Commercial outlook, with experience of preparing business cases, business plans and detailed financial analysis and reports
  • Experience of developing and maintaining financial models (unit costing desirable)
  • Selfmotivator, proactive in all aspects of the role
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential, and proficiency in PowerPoint
