Description

This role is working for the NHS and is responsible for providing financial leadership and direction for the organisation.

This includes developing and implementing financial strategies, managing the year end and financial resources and ensuring compliancewith financial regulations and policies.

The Financial Controller will work closely with the leadership team to develop financial plans and will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.

They will also be responsible for improving financial efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organisation's goals and objectives
Year end duties including balance sheets, cash flow, capital and month end reporting
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies
Overseeing the preparation of financial reports and statements
Identifying areas for cost savings and improving financial efficiency
Coordinating the financial audit process
Managing the finance systems and processes of an organisation
Providing training to the finance team

The Financial Controller should be immediately available or available to start in January. They should have a strong background in finance and a relevant professional qualification (such a ACA, ACCA, CPA). They should have a strong understanding of financialsystems and processes. Strong communication and leadership skills are also important.
