Reed Accountancy are delighted to be assisting a successful company who are currently recruiting for a Part Time Accounts & Finance Assistant and Administrator.

There is a high level of confidentiality required with this role.

The purpose of this role is to support the Office Manager in both Finance, HR & Purchasing tasks. Recording and processing financial transactions on Sage 200 ERP system, Sage payroll, Microsoft Excel and in-house database.


You will be expected to work with the organisation to improve processes, efficiency and support commercial administrative tasks whilst adhering to legislation for bookkeeping, payroll processing and pension.

All work to be carried out under the organisations QMS system and in line with health and safety practices.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, payments, bank entries
- invoices stored within spindle

  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
  • Processing, monitoring and paying employee expenses
  • General administration of financial area, including updating and maintaining spreadsheets and area procedures
  • Sending weekly & monthly reports to Directors as requested
  • Payroll and Pensions processing and administration
  • Assets Management
  • RAM & Asset annual purchases
  • All purchasing as directed and Management of commercial in box administration
  • Processing Quotes & Orders for Rentals
  • To follow direction where asked but also to work on own initiative
  • HR documents filed electronically and up to date
  • Where instructed to update the company HR system Mentor.
Time Management and prioritisingis important.

Education and Experience

  • Previous experience
  • Sage 200 experience required.
  • AATRequired
  • Sage Payroll Training and experience preferred but not essential
- have excellent communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail
- have strong analytical skills
- be able to work calmly, effectively under pressure, react quickly, and meet tight deadlines
- have strong IT skills, including excel, wordand data handling

This Role is for 16-24 hours per week, working pattern choices below.
(Must include a Monday and Friday afternoon, finishing at 5.30pm)

3 6-8 hour days
4 4-6 hour days
5 4.5 hour days

Rate of Pay £23K to £24K Pro-rata dependant on experience.
