Our client is now actively seeking an experienced UK Road Freight Supervisor with is a true specialist in UK road freight operations with the contacts and knowledge to match.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the smooth flow of shipments within the UK, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering excellent customer service.

Your expertise in road freight logistics will be instrumental in leading a team and optimizing operations.

(UK Road Freight Supervisor) - Position Overview

Lead and supervise a team of Freight Forwarders, providing guidance, support, and training.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Manage endtoend road freight operations within the UK, ensuring timely and costeffective delivery.
Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and carriers to arrange pickups, deliveries, and transportation of goods.
Act as the main point of contact for key clients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their logistics needs.
Understand clients' specific requirements and provide tailored solutions for their road freight shipments.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, actively seeking opportunities for upselling and crossselling services.
Evaluate carrier performance based on service quality, ontime delivery, and adherence to contractual terms.
Continuously assess the carrier network, seeking new partnerships to optimize capacity and coverage.
Monitor supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure service excellence.
Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure departmental performance and take corrective actions as needed.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements relevant to road freight logistics.

(UK Road Freight Supervisor) - Position Requirements

Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder with a specialization in UK road freight operations.
Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is required.
Indepth knowledge of UK road transport regulations, compliance requirements, and documentation.
Strong understanding of road freight logistics, including route optimization, load planning, and vehicle types.
Proficient in using freight management systems and software for shipment tracking and documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Problemsolving skills to address operational challenges and client requirements.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
