The Portfolio Management (PM) team is responsible for allocating capital and liquidity on behalf of CB to achieve optimal returns for shareholders.

This involves management of the Commercial Bank's products, growing our business through integrated client propositions and enhancing client insight, digitisation and innovation.


The Role:


We have an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal role as an Associate in the Portfolio Distribution team within Portfolio Management.

This is a highly desirable area to work in; driving innovative structured transactions on behalf of the Bank You'll be focussed on supporting creation and delivery of innovative new structured transactions working with third parties, arranger and co investors to bring new capital to our Commercial Banking division.


What you'll be doing:

You'll be focussed on working with the Directors to develop new propositions for distribution


This will include:
Working with BCB and CIB to identify areas of future growth and opportunity
Analysing data to understand assets available for structures
Working with third party investors and internal market syndicate to understand appetite
Working through economics and options across synthetic securitisation, cash securitisation, co investment, sub participations
Working with arrangers and SPG to structure new transactions with investors


What we're looking for:


  • You'll be motivated and enthusiastic with strong partner management skills and analytical ability. A wide range of backgrounds are welcome.
  • Partner management skills able to support the collaborate with external investors, legal counsel and financial advisors effectively
  • Effective collaboration skills work as part of the execution team closely with Finance, Sales, Coverage, Markets, Legal, Group Corporate Treasury and other partners in the initiation, analysis and execution of transactions
  • Ability to present complex information simply
  • Strategic approach with the ability to think laterally, be innovative and find creative solutions
  • Financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Understanding of the broader economic trends and changes impacting the Balance Sheet
  • Strong excel skills with a methodical and analytical approach to decision making
  • Able to manage and prioritise multiple priorities in a timely and effective manner
  • A desire to learn so as to understand, evaluate and report on complex transactions
