About You
You will be an integral part of a small yet growing team responsible for constructing and maintaining all low-voltage automotive electrical systems.
Your key responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to:
- Assembling High Voltage cabling and low voltage harnesses along with interfacing connections.
- Installing and routing both High and Low voltage vehicle harnesses.
- Investigating, diagnosing, and rectifying faults in low voltage vehicle systems.
- Conducting low voltage system tests on vehicles when necessary.
- Supporting prototype emphasis builds and highlighting any encountered build issues.
- Proficiency in bench testing low voltage systems and designing test leads and rigs for a consistent testing process.
- Compiling concise lists of required parts and materials to aid the procurement process.
- As an experienced Auto Electrician, you should be adept at interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and connection pinouts. Your expertise goes beyond interpretation as you're able to identify inconsistencies or errors in these diagrams.
In addition, you should possess:
- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle low voltage systems.
- Ability to diagnose, assess, and repair or replace worn or faulty components or assemblies.
- Analytical skills to review build instructions and identify faults or inconsistencies.
- Capacity to recognize and raise safety concerns.
- Proficiency in constructing prototype harnesses and generating wiring diagrams/drawings to facilitate the procurement of subsequent harnesses.
