The department

Our Team located in London forms an integral and seamless part of an award-winning practice that spans a complete range of real estate services to clients, from development, joint ventures, structured investments, acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant, retail and real estate finance to construction and property litigation.
The team combines deep and current legal expertise with sophisticated marketplace knowledge and industry expertise and acts for the full spectrum of stakeholders.
Purpose of role
Our London Real Estate team is looking for an Associate with experience in general commercial real estate transactional work.
The team works on a wide variety of real estate transactions, both domestic UK transactions and supporting activities of the firm's global clients.
We deliver a client-focused responsive service for blue chip clients who expect the highest quality, great value, and the delivery of excellent work.
They, and we, expect our lawyers to be specialists in their sectors, and to be proactive and commercially mindedRequired experience, skills and attributes
- Proven transactional background, preferably with asset management experience
- Investmentbased disposals and acquisitions (including corporate share acquisitions).
- Working with a project team including construction, tax, finance, corporate, and planning colleagues both within the UK and internationally.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate documents such as sale/purchase contracts, transfers, easements, licenses, and agreements for leases and leases.
- Dealing with the usual real estate due diligence requirements such as the preparation/review of certificates/reports on the title.
- Carrying out asset management and portfolio management work and providing general landlord/tenant leasing advice.
- A general understanding of development transactions would be useful, but not essential
