We have a fantastic opportunity here to work alongside an ambitious and hardworking Managing Director to support the growth of their business on an exciting 5-year plan to double turnover and support the growth of their branch network.

The Role

One thing this business can assure you is that there is a huge amount of variety within this vacancy and that no two days will be the same, that's a fact.

Working and forming a very close working relationship with the Managing Director, you'll be heading up both the finance and operations teams and acting as a true business partner across all areas of the business.

From co-ordination of all finance activities such as tax, VAT, cashflow, management accounts, and year-end duties as well as rolling out a new forecasting model including projections and monitoring trends, you'll have a small yet very productive finance teamto keep things moving along in a smooth processed manner.

Additionally, there is a heavy spin on this position being all things operational, such as overseeing the operational systems, processes, infrastructure, safeguarding, audits, conflict resolution and a handful of ad-hoc projects, so there is plenty to be gettingon with.

From experience, not many of these jobs come to market but having worked with this particular business over the last 5 years, it's a terrific place to work.

What you'll need

From a technical standpoint, we're Ideally looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or someone who may be part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with sector experience would be highly desirable.

You'll need experience in managing people as well as heading up multiple projects so leadership and communication skills are highly sought after here.

Your decision-making, planning, and negotiating skills as well as lots of problem-solving will be used daily, so these need to be tip-top

Above all else, providing you have a committed and positive outlook and can work with people that will challenge you but reward you in more ways than you can imagine, this would be a perfect job for you.
