Support Workers - 18 hours per week

An exciting job opportunity as a Support Worker, to work for a gentleman with an acquired brain injury in the Oldham area.

Brief Job Description:


  • You will work with the client in his own home and in the local community on a onetoone basis.
  • Support the client to access some of his many social and leisure activities, including going out regularly for meals, visiting the gym regularly, attending concerts and going to watch football.
  • Your role will include helping the client to manage his daily/weekly responsibilities, which include shopping, planning trips and visiting family.
  • Help the client live as independently as possible
  • Your role will include accompanying the client on holidays both in the UK and abroad.

Hours of Work - 18 hours per week, this will be discussed at interview


Person Specification

Car driver with a valid licence and full clean record is essential
:


  • Knowledge and experience of working with adults with an acquired brain injury would be welcomed, but it is not a requirement, as training and regular supervision will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision
  • Able to be calm and consistent
  • Enthusiastic and creative
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Hourly rate:
£12 per hour
