About Investing in Mining Indaba


Investing in African Mining Indaba is the world's largest and most prestigious mining investment CONFEX, hosting Heads of State, Government Ministers, C Level Mining Executives and Investors.

The event is a world leader and has been the must attend event for the African mining community for over 26 years.

The show welcomes over 6,500 delegates, 230 exhibitors and 40 sponsors from over 100 countries across the mining value chain.


Key Responsibilities

  • Multichannel strategy execution and management working with the Marketing Manager to manage the delivery of the marketing strategy and campaign plans, ensuring each activity is delivered within deadline, to budget, and gains the required audience reach across all audiences (delegates, sponsors and exhibitors)
  • Work with key internal teams: event, central and sales teams to ensure all channels and opportunities are effectively optimised to drive delegates and sales leads with the most effective spend
  • Design and own plan for digital engagement through content and social media
  • Identify new and manage relationships with existing partners (comprising of media partners, press, associations, membership bodies), responsible for acquisition and execution of these relationships as well as souring of highquality digital content
  • Complete digital content research, planning and production, including but not limited to: case studies, ebooks, interviews, articles, weekly news roundup and press releases
  • Website content management
  • Report on digital content strategy and execution effectiveness
  • Provide general admin support as and when required to the team

Skills Required:


  • Minimum two years' marketing experience implementing campaigns across channels
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrable understanding of campaign planning, customer targeting and segmentation
  • Excellent copywriting skills must demonstrate examples of content production
  • Proactive attitude and team player
  • Strongly resultsfocused and able to clearly demonstrate success via proven metrics
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience of working within the events industry desirable
  • Degree in Marketing, Business, or a Related Field desirable
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Canva or Indesign desirable.
