    Job Title: Kidney Cancer UK Healthcare Professional - Nurse

    As a key member of our Health Professional Team, you will play a crucial role in planning and delivering patient care through our Support Line service, patient events, and other areas of support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Build strong relationships with clinical teams at cancer centres to signpost patients to Kidney Cancer UK services.
    • Provide knowledgeable and supportive guidance to patients on our Support Line.
    • Engage actively in our closed Facebook groups as a commentator and moderator.
    • Promote the charity's support services at every opportunity.
    • Develop face-to-face and online support groups and patient/carer events.
    • Write and present high-quality submissions to NICE (training available).
    • Represent the charity in cancer groups such as Cancer52.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information.

    Requirements:

    • Registered General Nurse with a valid NMC pin preferred.
    • Continuing professional development in kidney cancer treatments.
    • Excellent communication and writing skills.
    • Some knowledge of marketing or willingness to learn.
    • Understanding of social media, IT, and digital technologies.
    • Confidence in public speaking and presentation delivery.
    • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally abroad.
    • Full clean driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
