We are now recruiting for Aluminum & Steel CNC-Setter/ Operator


The Role
Working for a small wall manufacturer processing aluminium profile sections on a single head Elumatec SBZ 122 CNC machine.

Routing, slot milling, drilling and cutting aluminium as per works orders and drawing specifications to correct quality and required timescales.

Processing EN19 & EN8 mild steel box sections on single turret Elumatec SBZ 130 CNC machine.

Slot milling, tapping, drilling and cutting steel as per works orders and drawing specifications to correct quality and required timescales.

Some heavy lifting involved.

Single shift, Monday to Thursday 7.30 am to 4.30 pm with early finish on Fridays. Strong work ethics, keeping the machine clean and tidy. Helping with month end stock takes, working as part of a small, friendly team.

Offsite training will be provided for the first month.


The person

  • Previous experience in operating/programming CNC machine advantageous although training will be provided
  • Being able to use hydraulic circular / chop saw
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Ability and confidence to use power tools such as grinders, drills, hammers etc.
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Fast learner
  • Previous experience of working in manufacturing / engineering environment advantageous
