Description

The key roles for this post are to manage and coordinate the administration work required for the daily running of the Endoscopy Unit and also the Joint Advisory Group on Endoscopy (JAG) accreditation process in conjunction with the Clinical Service Lead and Endoscopy Unit Leader.

This includes coordinating the submission of the Global Rating Scale (GRS) census which need to be completed twice a year and supporting the unit with the administrative duties required to attain JAG accreditation status.


The post-holder will undertake the system manager role for the Hospital Integrated Clinical Support System (HICSS) in Endoscopy and MyEndo (a pre-assessment platform).


The post-holder will have close working links with the clinical staff within the Endoscopy Department both at Royal Cornwall Hospital and at West Cornwall Hospital sites.


Communicate with patients, colleagues, internal and external contacts, in a courteous, professional and timely manner at all times by various methods, i.e., telephone, written, face to face.


Liaise with appropriate personnel in the multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient information so this is accessible in a timely manner.

Participate in team and Trust meetings as required.


The Endoscopy Unit provides a centralised patient centred direct booking service for endoscopy procedures operating within Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust for Treliske and West Cornwall Hospitals.

Sustainability is integral to the Trust achieving the NHS Net Zero target. All staff are therefore actively encouraged and supported to implement new ways of working within their field of expertise.


Work as part of the Endoscopy team in order to provide patients, staff, and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner.

Management and oversee upgrades to the HICSS reporting system, MyEndo, and Scorpio.

Organise Endoscopy User Group (EUG) meetings and other meetings as appropriate.

To remain up to date with changing practice within the JAG accreditation process.

Manage patient surveys, ensure questionnaires are completed, results collated and an action plan is developed.
