What is 'Time for You'?


Time for You brings SAMH, Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) and Qwell (Kooth) together to provide different options of accessible psychological wellbeing and mental health support.

Time for You is for anyone aged 16 and over, living in Scotland and experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns and offers three types of support:


  • Qwell: Offering access to a moderated community forum, self-help tools, resources and professional support.

Wellbeing Coaching: Working with a SAMH Wellbeing Practitioner using evidence-based coaching to increase awareness and develop tools, skills and strategies to achieve personal goals with a client's mental wellbeing.

Talking Therapy: Working with a Trainee Psychologist (Glasgow Caledonian University, PHD Programme) using a therapeutic approach to target mental health concerns, whilst exploring tools for managing mental health and providing counselling for clients.


About the Role


As the service coordinator for Time for You, you will support the Service Manager by managing referrals to the service, completing initial client assessments and coordinating allocations to the appropriate type of support.

You will support the service by delivering effective and efficient resource planning and robust administrative processes that supports clients to 'ask once, get help fast'.


The service coordinator role is a client facing role and it is anticipated that a high proportion of time will be spent on managing incoming referrals to the service.

This currently includes managing and responding to referrals and enquiries received to the Time for You inbox, and includes conducting initial assessment meetings with clients to establish eligibility for the service, identify the most appropriate type of support for the client and escalate any safeguarding concerns.

The post holder will also be responsible for coordinating the allocations of referrals after assessment meetings have been conducted which will require building strong relationships with the wellbeing practitioners, trainee psychologists and their placement coordinators.

You will be able to demonstrate good communication skills and a mature attitude together with adaptability and enthusiasm.
Knowledge and experience in supporting people with mental health problems is essential.


The role will be predominantly home-based, with assessments being delivered remotely via calls or on video call, however some travel and face to face work may be required.
